The music of the Frankfurt band
AYEFORE reflects the social bonds and tensions characteristic of this multicultural
metropolis. In particular, they weave Turkish melodies and rhythms into
a peculiarly European brand of American guitar-rock, resulting in an effortless
blend of what were previously assumed to be incompatible genres. Their songs
do not come across as artificial nods to the ethno-cultural diversity in
Frankfurt – the musicians think, feel and act interculturally. They
were brought up that way, they live and breathe it.
